HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR
MyJagua tattoo properly
The My Jagua tattoo colours your top layer of skin and only disappears because your skin renews itself. That’s why care begins before the tattoo is applied by shaving off excess hair 24 hours before and exfoliating the desired area of skin. Our included sponge is great for removing dry skin flakes and cleansing your skin. The sponge is 100% natural, biodegradable and reusable, so you can use it first for exfoliation and then the next day to apply your tattoo.
With the help of the MyJagua Booster, your tattoo will develop within 8 hours. Because your skin is inked, the MyJagua tattoo is basically waterproof. However, frequent contact with water will cause your skin to dry out and flake off more quickly. Therefore, avoid long showers or baths. It is best to let the tattooed skin dry in the air. To make your tattoo last longer, we recommend treating the tattoo with natural oils after each contact with water. Natural argan or coconut oil is suitable for this purpose. This keeps your skin fresh for longer and delays the flaking of the top layer of skin. We recommend drinking enough water to keep your skin hydrated and prevent it from drying out prematurely. Note: Tattoos on moving parts, fingers or areas of the skin where there is a lot of friction will fade faster. Friction from a towel, fabric or other parts of the body will also cause the tattoo to fade faster. You can find more information about durability in our FAQ’s.
